For our first Supper Club, we went with an Italian theme. Merrill's brother-in-law, Tyler, taught her how to make homemade pasta and the easiest peasant bread imaginable. We dove head first into Pinterest to figure out what we wanted it to look like from the food to the table setting.
DECORATIONS
The decorations were pretty simple but they made a statement. We used Jackson Vine from Merrill's parents backyard, lemons, oranges, and limes. We found glass votives from Goodwill for $0.79 each and spray painted them with a matte rock sand spray paint and ordered orange tip matches from Amazon for something small for the girls to take home.

DRINKS
Of course, we had to make Merrill's mom, Mary Lynne's, favorite drink which is an Aperol Spritz. We also had other options like red wine and white wine.

STARTERS
For starters, we did a beautiful charcuterie with cheeses, meats, olives, nuts, fig spread, fruits, and threw in a chocolate addition because who doesn't like something sweet before the main course! We did a caprese salad which is sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, basil (fresh from Merrill's garden), and a balsamic glaze drizzle.

MAIN
The main course was spaghetti carbonara with two different types of peasant bread, plain and rosemary with fresh garlic.

DESSERT
Dessert was delicious and you know we couldn't just come with one dessert. We made a Tiramisu from scratch and found this simple lemon posset brûlée recipe that was made from all of three ingredients!

We can't thank all of these women enough who came out to enjoy our first Supper Club of many and we missed the ones who couldn't make it. These women came from different parts of our lives and we wanted to have something special each month to show our love for each of them and how they are some of our biggest supporters.

To Maria, Alizbeth, Damiqa, Savannah, Robin, and Madeline, THANK YOU!

Cheers!
Until next time from the Hostess with the Mostess.
Love, Lara + Merrill
